2023 Honorary Doctorates
To mark the occasion of Hult’s 20th anniversary, we are awarding our very first honorary doctorates. These are given to those in business who most embody our purpose. These people make an impact that matters and inspire others to do the same.

Paul Polman works to accelerate action by business to tackle climate change and inequality. As CEO of Unilever (2009-2019), he demonstrated that business can profit through purpose, delivering shareholder returns of 290% while the company consistently ranked 1st in the world for sustainability. Today he works across a range of organisations to deliver the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which he helped develop.

A breakthrough thinker on the impact of technologies on society, Azeem Azhar is both a practitioner and analyst. He is an active investor and entrepreneur in the technology field and an author and producer of a highly-renowned newsletter and podcast, Exponential View.
2023 Hodges Scholars
The Hodges Scholar Award is the highest recognition for academic merit at Hult International Business School and is given to students graduating in the top 1% of their class globally.
The award is named in honor of Dr. Stephen Hodges, who served as President of Hult from 2006 to 2022. Under his leadership, Hult became a global leader in business education, with over 4,000 students from more than 100 countries learning at campuses across three continents.
This year, 30 students representing 14 different nationalities have been named in the inaugural Hodges Scholar cohort.
